’08 is shaping up to be a good year.
The Black Rock Coalition (BRC) recently launched a new site with the goal of providing a black countercultural POV on just about everything. Organization co-founder Greg Tate is leading the charge from and editorial standpoint. As you would then expect, music journalism is the core and Greg has pulled in some top writing talent such as Kandia Crazy Horse, michaela angela davis, dream hampton, Liza Jesse Petersen, Karen Good, Michael Gonzales and Miles Marshall Lewis, to name a few, for the launch. Cartoons, vlogs and other Web 2.0 tools will follow.
Glad to see the BRC take this step. Major hat tip to Brian Hull for the design and coding of the site.
Now, to quote Maurice Sendak, let the wild rumpus begin!
