I've said it before: If you've not seen this band, then do yourself a favor and do so! Their new album drops on 9/8 and that night this energetic South African quartet will be kicking things off in grand style at S.O.B.'s in NYC.
I'm not familiar with tropical/jungle act Highlife, but I understand that Janka Nabay is the father of Bubu music in Sierra Leone, a style he created. Should be a good night of new African music.
