Just A Band is one of the biggest acts in Nairobi, maybe even all of Kenya.  What you’ll hear is a great mix of electronic and pop sounds.  And while the entire album, 82, is full of solid tracks–many of which are sung in their native language–this is the standout, killer joint.

Along with up-and-comers like Last Year’s Tragedy and Murfy’s fLaw, Just A Band is redefining perceptions of what constitutes Kenyan music in the 21st century.

Thanks to the folks at Flipswitch PR for turning me onto this.  It’s been in heavy rotation on my iPod and I’ve spun it a few times on WRFB. My co-hosts at the station are lovin’ it, too.  Don’t worry, you’ll be hearing it again as part of the Boldaslove.us late summer/early fall mixtape.  More deets on that soon.

In the meantime, enjoy!
