That’s right: NYC gets a chance to see Academy Award winner Alex Gibney’s long-awaited documentary on the Afrobeat king, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, also known as the Black President.  Unfortunately, tonight’s opening is sold out, but you can check out other screenings times and reserve your tickets here.

This should be quite an experience because the film weaves scenes from the Broadway musical along with period interviews and actual performance footage.  Check out the trailer:
