URB Alt continues this weekend.
Friday and Saturday night, Boston, Shena and the crew are curating two more nights of great music at Brooklyn Academy of Music’s BAMcafe.
As was the case prior to the opening weekend, I give you Boston’s fanciful (but very accurate!) descriptions of this week’s artists:
Friday, June 27, 8pm-11pm
- Brandee Younger – Polyphonic harp virtuoso for Ravi Coltrane
- Faith – LES reggae/rock/soul power legends
- Brig Feltus with members of Pillow Theory – Queen of Myspace melds her soul/rock gypsy sound with the punk skronk of Pillow Theory
- MuthaWit Orchestra with special guests – Futuristic 10-20 piece cosmic soul/rock/classical big band and whatnot
Saturday, June 28, 8pm-11pm
- V. Jeffrey Smith – Songwriter and Performer extraordinaire for the rock/soul/pop band The Family Stand
- Tenderhead – Soul laced punk/pop/rock melodicism with a high fashion sensibility
- MuthaWit Orchestra with special guests
Also just like last week, these shows are F-R-E-E
Brooklyn Academy of Music/BAMcafe is located at 30 Lafayette Avenue

UPDATE: Boston drops further hints and creates more excitement on MuthaWit’s MySpace blog, including a review of last weekend’s show and a teaser about Jeff Smith’s set of original material.
