New Photos: Roughstars @ The Knitting Factory–September 19

 

It had been over a year since I’d last seen Roughstars at Restoration Rocks.  It’s always good to see Mikel Banks (clearly a contender for the hardest workin’, in-the-most-bands brotha in Black rock) and Tjade.  Good to also meet Lars and Bullet.  They’re a solid band.  I’d write more about the show, but I spent a lot of time being frustrated at the shots I wasn’t getting, so I wasn’t as focused as I’d like to have been.  Anyway, here are the photos I like.

I’m downloading their new album, How To Survive In The Woods, so you can look forward to more mentions of the bump-rockin’ Roughstars in this space.
