California King will open the Boldaslove.us/BRC CMJ showcase at BAMCafe in a couple of weeks. Mike Mills (guitar), Yohann Potico (bass) and Jerry Williams (drums) form an energetic young trio that mixes indie-rock, soul & R&B, which means they count among their influences artists such as Tom Waits, The Pixies, Funkadelic, Bad Brains and The Cure, to name a few.
Their new album–"Adoration of the Boogie Bear"–is out now.
