Still can’t get enough of Stew and Heidi? Then check this out:
Before the acclaim of the award-winning musical “Passing Strange,” BRC members Stew and Heidi Rodewald (“Passing Strange”) were working-class indie rockers chasing a dream. Their quixotic band, The Negro Problem, was a cult favorite on the underground circuit. Then “Passing Strange” changed everything—Stew and Heidi are now two of the most in-demand composers and dramaturges in the business.
Celebrating the bands’ pre-fame roots, the Black Rock Coalition will co-present a retrospective of material Stew and The Negro Problem in conjunction with BAM’s presentation of their new work, “Brooklyn Omnibus,” at The Harvey Theater (October 20-23), featuring the BRC Orchestra and several special guests!
Since it’s at BAMCafe, it’s a FREE show. It all gets underway at 9pm.
