In reviewing James Flynn’s "What is Intelligence?", Malcolm Gladwell comes to the following conclusion:
I.Q. measures not just the quality of a person’s mind but the quality of the world that person lives in.
This should put to rest all of those who want to make the case that Blacks are somehow intellectually inferior to Whites based on genetics.

UPDATE: More to the point: Expanding the range of experiences that Black folk have on a routine basis–musical, emotional, intellectual, etc.–is what I’ve been talking about. What we’re talking about is a rich cultural environment, of which the range of music beyond hip hop and R&B is a key (certainly not the only) element. Factor in all of the arts and people begin to have an greater understanding of of the human experience.
